    Marlene V. Friebel, "Pretty Momma 43", 67, Little Chute, went into God's loving arms, June 17, 2011, at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna.
    Marlene was born on July 10, 1943, in Little Chute, daughter of Harold and Ethel (Bongers) Van Nuland. On June 3, 1964, Marlene was united in marriage to Lyle Friebel at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Marlene had many jobs that she enjoyed greatly over the years, which include: Teaching classes for the Better Breathers Group and diabetes, providing therapy for Rheumatoid arthritis patients at St. Elizabeth Hospital (pool program), working for Curves of Little Chute and Kaukauna and driving school bus for Kobussen. In her free time, she enjoyed many years camping at Brady's Pine Grove Campground and several cottages throughout the years at Legend Lake, Long Lake and Mountain. She enjoyed playing cribbage, dominos and many card games with family and frequently with her lady friends. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics and playing bugle as a bugler for funerals. However, her greatest joy was being involved in all of her children and grandchildren's activities; including following her daughter and granddaughter and many race families for years on their motocross racing series.
    In addition to her husband, Lyle, Marlene is also survived by her two children, Brian (Mindi) Friebel and Deana (special friend Dan Binder) Friebel; six grandchildren, Brandon (Krista) Friebel-Probst, Paige and Tanner "Red" Friebel, Tiffany (special friend Justin) Meyer, Stefanie Binder, and Michael (special friend Tiffany) Young; two great-grandchildren, Connor and McKenzie; three sisters, Elaine (Ron) Simpson, Donna Van Nuland and Judy (Rich) Leffel; two brothers-in-law, Ray Toonen and Merle (Donna) Friebel; three dogs, Freckles, Foxy and Fluffy; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
    Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rosanne Toonen; a brother, Robert VanNuland; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Friebel.
    A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Fr. James Hablewitz officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 3 p.m. until the time of service.
    "Pretty Momma's" family would like to thank all the staff at the St. Paul Home, the Intensive Care Unit staff at Appleton Medical Center, and the staff at Kindred Hospital for all their wonderful care and support. Special thanks to the Leffel and Francis families for the stay at their homes while Marlene was at Kindred Hospital. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Marlene's name.

    Van Nuland, Donna Mae R.
    Donna Mae Van Nuland, 64, Little Chute, went into the loving arms of our Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2011. Donna was born on November 12, 1946, to Harry and Ethel (Bongers) Van Nuland. Over the years, Donna has worked at Sandies Cleaners, Jack's or Better, Tuckers, and currently at Rich's Baker's Outlet. One of Donna's greatest loves was Elvis Presley.
    Donna is survived by two sisters: Elaine (Ron) Simpson and Judy (Rich) Leffel; 2 brothers-in-law: Ray Toonen and Lyle Friebel; many nieces and nephews.
    Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Roseanne Toonen and Marlene Friebel; a brother, Bob Van Nuland.
    Private services were held at the family's request. A burial will be at a future date. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Donna's name; memorials may be forwarded to the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal St., Little Chute, WI 54140.

    Brian K. Friebel, age 50 of Suring, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 9, 2017 following a courageous and short battle with cancer. He was born on September 27, 1966 to Lyle and the late Marlene (Van Nuland) Friebel and was raised in Kaukauna, WI. Brian served his county in the United States Navy aboard the USS John F. Kennedy Aircraft Carrier from 1985 to 1988. He moved to the Suring area in 1997 where he met his future wife. On June 24, 2000, Brian was united in marriage to Mindi Audley at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, WI. He was currently employed with KNT Fabrication until he became ill. Brian enjoyed driving his Harley-Davidson with his wife, Mindi, and special friends Steve and Michelle Heckl, Brian also enjoyed music, camping, fishing, utilizing his creativity (and perfectionism) in his shop at home, and playing Guitar Hero. Family, friends, and neighbors would spend time in the shop competing into the early morning hours.
    Brian is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Mindi; his children and grandchildren: Brandon (Krista) Friebel-Probst and their children: Alaric and Wyatt; Paige Friebel; Tanner Friebel; father, Lyle Friebel; sibling, Deana (Dan) Binder; father and mother-in-law, Mark (Peggy) Audley; brother and sister-in-laws, Mitch (Christina) Audley, John (Marci) Rosine; nieces and nephews: Zac (fiancée Annamarie) Rosine, Ashley Rosine, Tyler (fiancée Jamie) Audley and their child Kashton, Tiffany (Justin) Kraeger and their children Jeremiah and Kyleigh, Stefanie Binder and her children Connor and McKenzie, Michael Young and his children Roxanne and Lillian. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his unborn son; his mother, Marlene Friebel; grandparents, Harry and Ethel Van Nuland; uncles, Eugene Friebel, Bob Van Nuland; aunts, Roseann Toonen, Donna Van Nuland, Judy Leffel.
    In honor of Brian's wishes, there will not be a funeral service. A private ceremony will be held. He did not want those who knew him to mourn, but rather to celebrate his life. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com.
    A fundraiser sponsored by Brooklyn Lanes Bar and Grill, along with Wichman's BP Gas Station, to assist the family with medical bills and expenses will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Brooklyn Lanes Bar and Grill (235 Peshtigo Brook Road, Suring, WI 54174) from 12 pm until closing.
