    Lou Van Eperen, 81, Combined Locks, died at his home Wednesday, June 2, 2010. He was born February 28, 1929, in Little Chute, son Adrian and Irma (Thurston) Van Eperen. He married Jeannine McGrew, September 1, 1971, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean War and had served in Korea and Panama.
    Lou served as Commander of the 8th District Department of the VFW as well as Commander of Kaukauna VFW Post #3319. He was also a member of Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute. Lou formed the Little Chute Historical Society and acted as their first president.
    Lou is survived by his wife, Jeannine; his son, Raymond (Judith) Van Eperen; his stepson, Daniel (Lori) McGrew; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers: Roger (Norma) Van Eperen and Anthony Van Eperen; his sisters: Teresa (Ronald) Van Groll, June (Floyd) Miller and Marian (Gordon) Becker; numerous nieces and nephews.
    A memorial gathering will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal Street, Little Chute. Military honors will be performed by members of the VFW Kaukauna Post #3319, the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute and the U. S. Army.

    Roger H. VanEperen, Kaukauna, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 25, 2012. He was born on September 23, 1931, son of the late Adrian and Irma (Thurston) VanEperen.
    Roger Enlisted in the Navy in 1951 and was very proud of his rank of "Master Chief Petty Officer", as he mentioned to everyone. He retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1989. He was employed by the Institute of Paper Chemistry and retired in 1995. On May 27, 1981 Roger married the love of his life, Norma Lee Smith, who was also a member of the U.S. Navy. Together they traveled abroad and to all 50 states. He was a Scout Master, hunter's safety instructor, member of the American Legion Post #160 of Smyrna, Georgia, and an extremely proud and active member of the VFW Post #3319.
    He is survived by his children: Pat (Dave) Biese, Gary (JoAnn) VanEperen, Sharon Sherman, Barb (Al) DeCoster, Laura (Robert) Jansen, James "Epe" (Kim) VanEperen, and step-children, Mary Berlin and William (Cheryl) Berlin. Also, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by a brother, Anthony VanEperen, and sisters, Theresa (Ronald) VanGroll and June (Floyd) Miller, Marian (Gordon) Becker, Maxine "Mickey" Byrd and a sister and brother-in law, Jeannine VanEperen and Tom Smith.
    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores L. VanEperen; sisters, Theresa VanEperen, Ann Thompson, and brothers Louis, Richard, and Donald VanEperen. Also brothers-in-law, Fritz and Gary Smith.
    Mass of Christian Burial for Roger will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Friends may call directly at church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial in Roger's name is being established for the Veterans Memorial-Ring of Honor.     Theresa M. Van Groll (Terry) formerly of Darboy, age 83 passed away peacefully October 8, 2016 at The Shores of Sheboygan where she resided the last of couple years. Terry was born Theresa Mary Van Eperen on November 14, 1932 in Little Chute, WI to Arthur and Erma (Thurston) Van Eperen. Terry was united in marriage to Ronald Van Groll on August 1, 1953 who preceded her in death on July 29, 2012. Terry worked many jobs in her younger years along with caring for her family. In 1971, Terry and Ron established Ron and Terry's Rendezvous in Little Chute. They owned and operated the business for 17 years and brought joy and laughter to many people, after which Terry and Ron relocated to Darboy. Terry worked at the Darboy Club for many years. Terry's passion, other than her family, was her faith in God. She read many scriptures at mass and was a proud member of Holy Angels Church of Darboy, where her life will be celebrated. Terry worked and called Bingo for many years at Holy Angels Church where she had numerous friends and rarely missed Monday Night Bingo. In 2013 Terry moved to Sheboygan to be cared for as her health was failing.
    Terry is survived her three sons: Larry (Laura), Leo (Lynn), Louie (Linda) Van Groll and daughter Lisa (special friend Ruth) Van Groll. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Mike, Dave, Nathan, Amanda, Lea, Paige, Shane and Julie Van Groll, Stephanie (Steve) Mc Gregor, Anthony "AJ", Jaci and Dante Rubio, Sara (James) Schimmelpfenning and great grandchildren: Lexi, Domnyck, Braydyn, Cierra, Dominic, Shanel, Kahli Van Groll, Beau Mc Gregor, Braelyn and Brianna Schimmelpfenning, Emma and Paislee Rubio. Other survivors include sisters and brothers in law: June (Floyd) Miller, Mary (Gordon) Becker, her brother Tony Van Eperen and sister in law Jeannine Van Eperen, many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Along with Ron, Terry is also preceded in death by her beautiful daughters: Linda and Louann Van Groll, her parents Art and Erma Van Eperen, her father and mother in law Joseph and Mary Van Groll. Brothers: Lou, Dick, Donnie, and Roger. Sisters: Theresa Van Eperen, Ann Thompson and Mickey Byrd. Sisters in law: Dorothy Van Eperen and Norma Van Eperen and brother in law Floyd Byrd.
    Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, W2796 Cty Hwy KK, Darboy. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the Mass.
    The family wishes to express a special thank you to The Shores of Sheboygan staff and her many friends there, along with the caring nurses of Heartland Hospice Care for their support and special care.

    Ann Marie (Van Eperen) Thompson, age 68 of Colorado Springs, CO, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007. She was born Adriana (later changed to Ann) September 29, 1938, to the late Adrian and Irma (Thurston) Van Eperen in Appleton, where she was raised and went to school. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a masters degree in Psychology. For the past 30 some years she has resided in Nevada and Colorado. She was raised in her younger years by her foster parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nabbefeld. Most of her life was spent enjoying her children and grandchildren and when possible playing bingo.
    She is survived by her six children: son, Chris of Appleton; and daughters: Dawn (Keith) LaMee and Debra of Colorado Springs; June Freyberg and Theresa Bustros (and friend Troy Plocar) both of Sheboygan; and Jacquelyn Harder of Mishiwaka, IN; and by 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three brothers: Louis (Jeannine) Van Eperen of Combined Locks, Anthony Van Eperen of Milwaukee, and Roger (Norma) Van Eperen of Kaukauna; three sisters: Terry (Ron) Van Groll of Darboy; June (Floyd) Miller of Mackville; and Marian (Gordon) Becker of Hortonville; and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by two brothers, Richard and Donald, and a sister, Theresa; and by her beloved granddaughter Raven Marie.
    Ann's cremated remains will be returned to Appleton and a memorial service will be held later this month at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel. A memorial fund will be established in her name.
