    Joyce A. Ehlke, Little Chute, age 53, died at her home Monday June 9, 2014. She was born in Appleton on June 20, 1960 to the Eugene J. and Eleanor R. (Heinrichs) Schumacher. Following her graduation from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, Joyce went on to earn her Master's Degree at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. She worked as a speech pathologist in the Appleton School District for 24 years.
    Joyce married Vernon Michael Ehlke at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church on May 25, 1991. She was a devoted mother and loved her children with all her heart. Joyce cherished time spent with family and friends in Crivitz. Joyce and her family made many trips to Door County, always stopping for gelato while there. She also loved kayaking.
    Joyce was a passionate Destination Imagination coach for 15 years. Reaching the global finals in Knoxville, TN was a proud achievement for her teams.
    Joyce is survived by her husband of 23 years, Vern; children: Mark, Laura and Michael, all of Little Chute; parents, Eugene and Eleanor Schumacher; siblings: Cathy Briese, Daniel (Sharon), Phil (Karen), Fran and Tim (Kelly) Schumacher; father and mother-in-law: Vernon Ehlke and Judy Kaye; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Brian (Sandra) Ehlke, Brenda (Jamie) Sedo, Vicky Swaw and Tim (Alicia) Ehlke. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Visitation will be held Thursday June 12, 2014 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 4:00 p.m. until time of vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday June 13, 2014 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery.
