    Obituary:
    Evelyn Slater, age 78, passed away peacefully early on Friday morning, October 24, 2014, under the care of St. Paul Hospice Services. Her loving family was at her side. Evelyn was born in Little Chute on July 4, 1936, daughter of the late Fred and Lena (DeBruin) Brasch, and for many years was employed by Zwicker Knitting Mills. Near the end of her working days, she was employed at Plexus. Evelyn was a lifelong member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She loved puzzles, sports of all kinds, animals, embroidery, and watching classic movies.
    Evelyn is survived by two children: Douglas (Paula) Slater of Little Chute and Barbara (Wayne) Schmitt of Appleton; a daughter-in-law: Jane Slater of Appleton; six grandchildren: Christopher Slater, Katherine (Curtis) Jones, Elizabeth (Troy) DeBruin, Meghan (Joshua) DeWitt, Emily Slater, and Candice Stewart; three great-grandchildren: Jaden, Chase, and Caylah; a sister-in-law: Toots Klyzub; and a lifelong friend: Jodi Van Der Wyst. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, a son Tony, a brother Arvin Brasch, and sisters Annabella (Jim) Tabbert, Irene (Carl) Tabbert, Rose (Lyle) Bierman, and Doris Brasch.
    The funeral liturgy for Evelyn will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2014, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 325 Pine Street in Little Chute, with Fr. Ronald Belitz officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather directly at the church on Monday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the time of the mass.     The family would like to extend their thanks to everyone at Appleton Medical Center, as well as the special angels at St. Paul Hospice Services: Melissa, Lauren, Ellen, and Karen. We will never forget your kindness.

    Bierman, Rosemary "Rose" age 69, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Franciscan Care and Rehab Center. She was born on April 12, 1938, in Little Chute to the late Fredrick and Lena (DeBruin) Brasch. She attended St. John's school in Little Chute. Rose married Lyle Bierman on April 25, 1959, in Little Chute at St. John's Catholic Church. She worked for Zwicker's Knitting mill for many years up until it closed. She later retired from Anchor Foods. Rose enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, knitting, sewing, doing puzzles and puzzle books, and also fishing and hunting.
    She is survived by her husband: Lyle; six children: Kelly (Joseph) Paltzer, Kenneth (Linda), Karen Cleveland, Kay (Jeffrey) Quaintance, Keith (fiancee Shelly), Kim (Michael) Rodina; thirteen grandchildren: Justin, Joseph Jr. (fiancee Kristin), Stephanie, Nicholas, Sara, Lyle, Jessica, Rebecca, Emily, Kayla, Amber, Austin, Elizabeth; three sisters: Annabella Tabbert of Wausau; Evelyn Slater of Appleton; Doris Brasch of Little Chute; sisters-in-law: Eleanor Jaeger of Appleton; Patsy Schuck of Eau Claire; brother-in-law: Jerry Klitz of CA.
    Rose was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Irene Tabbert; a brother: Arvin Brasch; five brothers-in-law: Carl Tabbert, James Tabbert, Melvin Bierman, Alvin Jaeger, Paul Schuck; a sister-in-law Ruth Bierman.
    Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, 2008, at Highland Memorial Park Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Bob Lexa officiating. Visitation will be at the Valley Funeral Home Sunday, March 30, 2008, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 4:30 p.m. Sunday evening. Visitation will also be from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at Highland Memorial Park Chapel.
    We would like to thank the nursing staff at Franciscan Care and Rehab Center for all the special care Rose received while there.
    In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.

    Doris M. Brasch, 74, of Little Chute, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013, at her home. She was born on May 28, 1939, in Little Chute, daughter of the late Frederick and Magdeline (De Bruin) Brasch. Doris enjoyed traveling and spending time up north. She loved watching John Wayne. Doris was very proud of her grandson, Chris. They had a very special relationship.
    Doris is survived by her son, Fred Brasch; grandchildren: Chris (Brooke) Brasch and Jordan Ebben; great grandson, Wyatt Brasch; a sister, Evelyn Slater; special family friend, Jodi VanderWyst; godchildren: Star, Ken and Lori; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
    Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Arvin; sisters: Annabella (Jim) Tabbert, Irene (Carl) Tabbert and Rose (Lyle) Bierman; and a brother-in-law, Jim Slater.
    Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal St., Little Chute, with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
