my wife is a descendant of Peter Geib, whose son Peter Geib married Katherine Scherf; of their son Peter Geib b 5/15/1837 in Prussia who married 2/08/1861 Margaret Bales (b. Prussia dau. of Mathias Bales and Katherine Krell); of their daughter Katherine Geib b. 1860 married Frederick (or Hermann?) Hildebrand my mother-in-law Katherine Hildebrand Kennelly's grandfather. There is a bography of John J. Geib founder of West Bend Woolen Mills in Wisconsin vol4 p.313-315 Wisc. Stae HIst Soc. Lib call # F 581 W5 who was a son of the the third Peter Geib which gives some interesting details of family history and list lists Peter and Katherine's 12 children.
