    Kaukauna - Our dearest Elizabeth Mary (Meulemans) Piso died on Thursday, March 1 st 2018 and now rests in Jesus arms. Oldest child of Raymond Paul and Helen Florence (Gerrits) Meulemans. Betty was born on May 25, 1933 on the family farm in the Town of Lawrence where she resided until she married CPL Kenneth Piso (USMC) on October 25, 1952 in San Diego, CA. They lived in Milwaukee until settling on the Piso family farm in Suring, WI. During her lifetime Betty worked at Woolworths, Zwicker Knitting Mills both in Appleton and finally 25 years at NuLine Industries in Suring.
    Surviving loved ones include her beloved sister Arlene (Meulemans) Hopfensperger/Egan of Kaukauna. Her children, Barbara Helen (Willie) Patz of Neenah, Steven James of Lena, Robert Kenneth (Christine) of Pulaski and Karen Ann (James) Callahan III of De Pere.
    Betty was blessed with 6 granddaughters Tammy Elizabeth Patz, Theresa Nichole (Patz) Janicki of Nekoosa, Shiloh Lee (Piso) Hatfield of Pound, Valeen Marie Piso of Lakewood, Stephanie Nicole (Piso) Hartleben of Eden, and Leah Charlotte Piso of Pulaski and her treasured grandson, James Ryan Callahan of De Pere. Betty also welcomed into her heart 4 great granddaughters and 5 great grandsons.
    She was preceeded in death by her parents, brother Robert, youngest sister Mary Jane (Meulemans) Van Schyndel, oldest granddaughter Tammy Beth, and son-in-law James Callahan III.
    Being a devout Catholic Betty was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Suring and was a life-long member of the Altar Society. Betty loved reading as did her father and going out to Red Lobster with daughter Karen and grandson Jimmy. She loved flowers and enjoyed feeding the wild birds in winter, but her favorite season was spring. Betty loved flowers, her favorites were Lilacs and Lilly of the Valley. She loved playing cards and bingo.
    Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site, Wrightstown, on Wednesday, March 7, from 2:00pm until 3:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00pm Wednesday with the Rev. Brian Wideman officiating. Interment in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Wrightstown. Cotter Funeral Home of Wrightstown is assisting the family. Online condolences at www.cotterfuneralhome.com
    Elizabeth's family wish to convey their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Good Shepherd Nursing Home of Seymour as well as the blessed assistance of Unity Hospice.
