    Bastian, Kenneth W."Lefty"Mena shaAge 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2003 at his home. He w as born on April 13, 1928 to the late Gilbert and Agnes (Vander Bloomen) B astian in the Town of Osborne, Wisconsin. He was in the U.S. Air Force fr om 1950 to 1954 during the Korean Conflict, mainly stationed in Okinawa, J apan. He spent his early years in Wrightstown graduating from the High Sch ool there. He wed Rosemarie Miller on August 17, 1957 at St. Joseph Cathol ic Church in Appleton. Ken was employed at Schlaefer Supply Company f or 37 years, starting as a clerk and retiring as the Vice President. He re ally enjoyed spending time on the fairways and the lanes with his buddie s, followed by a game of cribbage or sheepshead, He also enjoyed hunting a nd fishing and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Rosemarie; sons: Gregory (Debbi e) Bastian, Hilbert; Mark (Mary) Bastian, Kaukauna; Scott (Leanne) Bastia n, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Stephanie (fiance Kevin Stienbrecher) Bastia n, Ben (fiancee Emily Casper) Bastian, Michael and Tyler Bastian and one m ore on the way, Allison, Christopher and James Van Dyke, Sam DeCoster; a s ister: Lorraine Bastian, Kaukauna; brothers: Melvin (Lois) Bastian, Wright stown; Marvin (Aloyice) Bastian, Crandon.He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Gordon Berk en.A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 7:00 PM at t he funeral home with Deacon Gib Schmidt officiating.     Mark A. Bastian, 47, Kaukauna, died unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident, July 24, 2008. He was born Jan. 14, 1961, to Ken W. and Rosemarie A. (Miller) Bastian, in Appleton. Mark was a Senior Estimator for AZCO Inc. He enjoyed all sports and excelled in bowling, golf, basketball and baseball. Mark was also an avid spectator at his children's many sporting events.
    He is survived by his wife, Mary B. (Coenen) Bastian; four children, Sam, James, Christopher "Chris" and Allison; his mother, Rosemarie Bastian, Appleton; two brothers, Greg (Debbie) Bastian, Hilbert; Scott (Leanne) Bastian, Kaukauna; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Aurella Coenen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sue (Rick) Elkington, Phyllis (Dennis) Techlin, Carl (Margaret) Coenen, Vicky (Richard) Levesque, Carol Coenen, Steven (Lori) Coenen, Joe (Sue) Coenen, Shelia(Jim) Bowers, Ronald (Tina) Coenen, Daniel (Patti) Coenen, Ed (Rhonda) Coenen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Ken W. Bastian and a brother-in-law, John J. Coenen.
    Services for Mark will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2008, at the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
