    Hoffman, Donald H., AppletonAge 83, died Friday afternoon, February 13, 2004, at Oakridge Gardens Nurs ing Home. He was born November 17, 1920, to the late John and Marie (Ette n) Hoffman, in Appleton and had been an area resident all of his life. Don ald had been employed by Appleton Papers-Locks Mill, for 29 years, retiri ng in 1980.Survivors include his wife, Mary (Heiss) Hoffman, to whom he had been marr ied for 58 years; a son, Anthony Hoffman, Oshkosh; two daughters, Leah Hof fman, Fairfield, CA; Amy Hoffman, Yellow Knife, NT, Canada and her daughte r, Anne Marie Morin, Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, Canada; a sister, Ruth P etrie, Menasha; a niece, Lollie (Tony) Eskofski; two nephews, Alfred E. Pe trie, Jr; Ronald J. Petrie; a sister-in-law, Edie Heiss; a brother-in-la w, Tom Heiss.     Leah E. Hoffman, 65, Fairfield, California, was discovered on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at her residence in Fairfield deceased. She died of natural causes. Leah was born on March 26, 1950, to the late Donald and Mary (Heiss) Hoffman, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She was raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school in 1968, Leah served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Ground Support Equipment Technician in Alameda, California (1973 - 1977) and in the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1979 through 1981 and 1983 through 1984. During her military service, Leah received commendations for her high scholastic achievements. After service, Leah remained in Alameda and attended Laney College and the College of Alameda, majoring in science, mathematics and accounting.
    In 1996 or 1997, Leah relocated to Fairfield, California where she remained until her death. Leah was last employed by FoodMax as a Senior Cashier. Survivors include a brother, Anthony (Tony) Hoffman, Oshkosh; a sister, Amy Hoffman, Yellow Knife, NT, Canada and her daughter, Anne Marie Morin, Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, Canada. There will be no service.
    The family would like to thank the staff of FoodMax and of The Orient Apartments for their compassionate support.

    Petrie, Alfred E., Jr. "Butch Man" - Alfred E. Petrie, Jr., age 55, passed away quietly on Monday, December 18, 2006, at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton. He was born July 17, 1951, in Wisconsin, son of Alfred and Ruthie (Hoffman) Petrie Sr. He married Denese Goodearle on July 29, 2005, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Neenah. He served in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Europe and the U.S. Alfred enjoyed riding his Harley. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.
    Survivors include his wife, Denese, two children: Bonnie Petrie, Al Petrie III; two step children: Kristina Rau, Heather Ables; a brother, Ronnie Petrie, a sister, Lollie (Tony) Eskofski, his mother, Ruthie Petrie, and his mother-in-law, Mae Goodearle.
    He was preceded in death by his father, and his father-in-law, Henry Goodearle.
    A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Immanuel United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Jim Deckert officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, at the church, from noon until the time of service at the church. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #60 of Kimberly. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name.
