    Nickodem, Luella "Lou" (Valentine Golden)
    Luella "Lou" (Valentine Golden) Nickodem, 95, Green Bay, died Saturday, Se ptember 9, 2006. She was born on November 29, 1910, to Eli and Helen (O'Co nnor) Valentine. On June 10, 1939, she married Sherman Golden. He preced ed her in death on June 22, 1960. Lou then married Ted Nickodem on Septemb er 20, 1967. He also preceded her in death on February 23, 1974. Lou w as a member of St. Agnes Parish.
    Aunt Lou lived a long life that provided material for wonderful stories th at she shared. After her mother died, Lou took over "mothering" her young er brothers and sisters. The well-being of her family was always importa nt to her. Aunt Lou researched and provided the family with the O'Connor F amily Tree. To ensure that her stories were not lost she wrote, "The Tim es and Trials Of One Family."
    Aunt Lou had fond memories of the time she worked at City Hall and at Pran ge's. She was a great seamstress and loved to take care of her yard and fl owers. She was a loyal Packer fan. She had a special devotion to Mary a nd to the Rosary. She was a strong and classy lady that faced both life a nd death bravely.
    Lou is survived by her sister, Delores "Dolly" Kneisler, California; niece s: Carol Mill Ray, Linda (John) Raisanan, Martha Mill, all of Green Bay; K athy (Dennis) Feistel, Appleton; Helen (Ken) Van Rooy, Kaukauna; Peggy (St eve) Stigers, Texas; nephews: Robert (Debbie) Valentine, Freedom; James (B ebe) Valentine, Hilbert; John (Debby) Kneisler, California; and a sister-i n-law, Exilda Valentine; numerous great nieces and great nephews.
    Luella is also survived by one step-son and his wife, Robert (Maureen) Nic kodem, Sheboygan; step grandchildren: Dr. Robert (Janie) Nickodem, Ohio; M ichael (Katie) Nickodem, New York; Kevin (Ann) Nickodem, North Carolina; P atrick (Jackie) Nickodem, Kentucky; Dr. Anne Nickodem and her husband Andr ew Don, Virginia; Moya (Brad) Belcaster, Illinois; Margaret Nickodem, Uta h; Shelia (Daniel) Shalev, Pennsylvania; and numerous step-great-grandchil dren; and a special friend, Karen Ropson, Green Bay.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Emmet and Leland V alentine; three sisters, Florence (Bill) Mill, Bernetta Valentine, Mary Va lentine; a brother-in-law, John Kneisler; a step-daughter, Rita Nickode m; and nieces, Kathy Mill Wood, Susan Mill Bell, and Jane Kneisler Lehig h.
    Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p. m. on Tuesday. A Parish Wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Fr iends may also call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 10- 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesd ay at church with Rev.
