    Ann P. Kempen, Hollandtown, age 86, died peacefully on Friday March 10, 2017 at St. Francis Terrace in Fond du Lac. She was born February 23, 1931 in the town of Oneida, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Martin and Marie (Van Beek) Vander Zanden. On September 2, 1950 Ann married Boniface "Bonny" Kempen in Darboy. Ann was a loving wife, homemaker and mentor. She and Bonny enjoyed living in Hollandtown for 57 years. Ann loved to sew, doing yarn art and mentoring children in the 4-H program. She was a member of Hope Church, Appleton.
    Ann is survived by five children: Carol (Alan) Tuttoilmondo, Diane Kempen, Jim (Brenda) Kempen, Becky (Ivan) Mesa, Elaine (Roberto) Rodriguez; daughter-in-law, Sue Kempen; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is furthered survived by many brothers and sisters, in-laws and other family members and friends.
    Ann was preceded in death by her husband Boniface on June 23, 2014, a son, John "Jack", two sisters and one brother.

Completing her postulancy and novitiate training in Chicago, she made temporary vows in September 1964, and took the name Sister Mary Loreta. Patricia was assigned to St George's College in Santiago, Chile, where she taught second grade. She left the convent in March 1966.

    Patricia Jean (Vander Zanden) Techlin, a trusting child of God, was taken home to heaven on Saturday, August 4, 2012 after 74 years of grace on this earth. Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend will be sorely missed. The Lord greatly blessed us through her. We look forward to the day we see her again, in glory, and thank God for this promise to her and to us.
    She was born May 1, 1938 at home on Railroad Street in Kimberly, the daughter of Martin and Marie (Van Beek) Vander Zanden Sr. On May 3, 1938 she was baptized at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. She had her first communion at Holy Angels in Darboy and was confirmed in sixth grade at St. Dennis in Shiocton. Patricia graduated from Shiocton High School in 1956. On August 15, 1962, she entered the Dominican Mission Sisters convent. Completing her postulancy and novitiate training in Chicago, she made temporary vows in September 1964, and took the name Sister Mary Loreta. Patricia was assigned to St George's College in Santiago, Chile, where she taught second grade. She left the convent in March 1966.
    On July 13, 1968 Patricia married Frederick H Techlin Sr. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks. She had a sensational relationship with the husband she didn't think she'd ever find.

    "Walk through this world with me - go where I go. Share all your dreams with me - for I love you so. All of us search and some of us find. I looked for you a long, long time. And now that I've found you - new horizons I see. Come take my hand and walk through this world with me."

    On Palm Sunday, 1969, she joined St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church (WELS), and was humbly grateful to the Holy Spirit for opening her mind and heart to the truth.
    "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. (Isaiah 55:8).
    Pat and Fred spent 44 years together on their farm in Freedom. Patricia was a stay-at-home mom and very happy with how her children developed and grew in God's grace, picked special and beautiful women for their wives, and provided grandchildren who were very, very loved. She worked at Lakeview Mill in Neenah, as a missionary in South America, a secretary in the Appleton City Hall and at Aid Association for Lutherans (Thrivent). She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts, writing, and her precious grandchildren.
    Pat always wanted to tell others about the love of Jesus and His gift of salvation.
    For "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:23-24).
    Patricia is survived by: her husband, Frederick H Techlin Sr., of Freedom; her children, Frederick H.     Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, N3505 Highway 47, in the Town of Center, with the Rev. Jeffery Suhr officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery following the services. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and again on Wednesday, from 9:00am until the time of services, at the church.

    Rosalee Demerath, 85, of Mount Pleasant passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Rosebush Manor.
    She was born May 25, 1931, in Neenah, WI, daughter of the late Frank and Christine (VanderZanden) Finnegan. She married Leon Demerath Oct. 2, 1954, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton, WI.
    In 1968 she became an Avon Representative and in 1973 moved from Green Bay, WI to Mount Pleasant. She retired in 1993 after 25 years with Avon. Some of her favorite pastimes were traveling and knitting mittens and hats for the Commission on Aging. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish.
    Rosalee is survived by her husband, Leon; five children Margaret (Randy) Bellinger of Dayton, OH, Dennis (Susan) Demerath of Shepherd, Nancy (Steve) Young of TX, John (Kathy) Demerath of Tecumseh and Matthew (Graciela) Demerath of Dexter; daughter-in-law, Patricia Demerath of IL; 14 grandchildren, Hanna, Jessica, Eric, Emily, Lauren, Jacqueline, Grace, Christine, Rachel, Andrew, Broderick, Corbin, Pablo and Donte; and one great-granddaughter, Zoey.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Patrick.
    Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass for Rosalee will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 302 S. Kinney, Mount Pleasant, MI. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30-11 a.m. A luncheon will be held at Sacred Heart Parish Hall following the Mass. Her ashes will be interred in St. Mary Cemetery in Kaukauna, WI.

    Ronald F. Landwehr, 75, De Pere, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015. He was born April 12, 1940, a son of the late Leonard and Petronella (Vander Zanden) Landwehr. On July 7, 1962 he married the former Rosemary Taubel. Ron was proud to serve in the U.S. Navy.
    Ron was great handyman being known as Mr. Tool because he always had the tool you needed. He took great pride in his lawn making it as perfect as possible. He also enjoyed his winters in Arizona and golfing.

    Nancy M. Stingle, age 66, of Black Creek passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at her home. She was born June 18, 1943, daughter of the late William and Martha (Vandenberg) Vander Zanden. On February 1, 1964 she was united in marriage to Vernon Stingle. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1988.
    Nancy enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren, quilting, cards, and bingo. She liked traveling, crocheting, cake decorating and ceramics.

    Mary Jane (née Vander Zanden) Heimerman, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Mary was born on May 14, 1950 in Town of Center, daughter of William and Martha (VandenBerg) Vander Zanden. She was a graduate of Seymour High School in 1968. On January 5, 1973, she was united in marriage to Michael Heimerman. Mary recently retired from Shopko after 27 years. Mary loved to travel, and spend time at her cottage up north. She loved to knit, sew, counted cross stitch, and play canasta and cribbage. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
    Mary is survived by her husband, Michael; her son, Brian (Rachael) Heimerman, Appleton; her daughter, Becky (Eric) Kramer, Neenah; and her grandchildren, Jaxon Kramer and Lindsay Heimerman. Lois was born on April 2, 1940 in Grand Chute a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (VanderZanden) Hameister Sr. On December 1, 1984 she married Martin E. Auer in Appleton.
    Lois was a member of St Andrew's Lutheran Church and had volunteered at Park View Health Center. Lois enjoyed fishing, buying lottery tickets, knitting, baking, cooking and spending time up north at the cottage in Three Lakes.
    Survivors include her husband, Martin of Oshkosh; three brothers, John (Judy) Hameister of Combined Locks, Richard (Kathy) Hameister of Appleton, Arthur (Patricia) Hameister Jr. of Appleton; two sisters, Judy (Robert) Schabo of Appleton, Barbara (Merl) Huebner of Fremont and her dog Millie.     John A. Hameister, age 75, of Combined Locks, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017. He was born on January 9, 1942 to the late Arthur Sr. and Mary (VanderZanden) Hameister in Appleton. In 1964 John married the love of his life, Judy Butelewski. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam
    John was first and foremost, a loving husband, a loyal, an adored brother, an amazing friend, a proud grandfather and a man who valued family above all else in his life.
    John enjoyed fishing, hunting and just about anything to do with the outdoors. John especially loved to visit the North Woods. His favorite sports to watch were drag racing, NASCAR and the Packers. In the early years John and Judy made many road trips together throughout the states. In July 2016 John and his brother Richard were chosen for the Old Glory Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight; it was something they both hoped to do. Above all John cherished spending time with his family.
    He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; his children, Scott (special friend Wendy) Hameister and Jennifer (Tim) Dietzen; his grandchildren, Brittany (Sam) Cropsey, Tony Dietzen and Cooper Dietzen and his great-granddaughter, Nora Cropsey. John is further survived by his brothers, Richard (Kathy) Hameister and Art Jr. (Pat) Hameister; his sisters, Judy (Bob) Schabo and Barb (Merle) Huebner and brother-in-law, Marty Auer. John also leaves behind many other dear family members and friends too numerous to list but never forgotten.
    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Lois.
    Friends and family will gather on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at ST. PETER EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, N2740 French Road in Appleton (Town of Freedom) until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. Military honors will follow the funeral service.     Raymond "Ray" E. Lappen, age 65, of Menasha, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at his residence with his loving wife at his side. On May 19, 1948, Raymond Edward was born in Appleton the son of the late Leo and Mabel (Dietrich) Lappen. He had worked for Appleton Paper for many years and then retired from Kraft Foods. Ray married Traci Bobula on April 29, 1999 in Oshkosh. There wasn't anything more that Ray loved to do than to play golf with his children and watch the Brewers with his wife. He also enjoyed camping and walking his dog.
    Ray will be missed by his loving wife, Traci; his children: Alyssa Lappen, Jessica (Christopher) Flohr, step-daughter, Amber Krueger, Dr. Nicole (Mickey) Martin, Carey Lappen, and Shelley (Greg) Simmer; 7 grandchildren; his sisters: Debbie (Keith) Brandt and Cheryl (Marc) Miller; his father-in-law, Gerald Bobula; sister-in-law, Kathy (Mike) Porto; a brother-in-law, Todd (fiancé, Lisa VandenLangenberg) Bobula; his loyal dog, Chloe; and many relatives and friends.

    On Friday August 22, 2014 Donna joined her beloved parents Clifford and Marion (Nickasch) Lappen, and her sister Sandra Ann (Lappen) Babcock in the arms of the Lord above, after a short illness that she fought courageously. She passed gently and peacefully, surrounded by her closest family and friends.
    Donna was born in Appleton on September 20, 1947, one year and one day after her sister. She attended high school in Kimberly and later enjoyed a full career at Presto Products. After a taste of retirement, Donna decided to go back to work and enjoyed a second career for a number of years at Bemis-Jason.
    After retiring for good, she joined the Red Hat Society and thoroughly enjoyed the sisterhood, camaraderie and activities she found there with her best friend of 48 years, Darlene Schultz. She was an active member of the Foxy Red Hatters, The Scarlet Valaires, and a group of card playing Red Hatters. She will be truly missed by all of her fellow Red Hatters, and they considered her a wonderful friend.
    She also enjoyed a long and blessed friendship with her other dearest friend, Marlene Hansen. Marelene will sing Donnas' chosen Hymn, "Just As I Am" during the service.
    Donna considered herself blessed to be the mother of her son Gary L. Abendroth and loved any time she could spend with him and her nephews Scott and Randy Babcock, and grand-nephews Scott II, Joshua, Jacob and Kyle, whether at Bay Beach or a barbeque in the backyard, or a picnic at the park. She loved spoiling all of them when she could.
    Donna was the World's Greatest Packer Fan. Period. During tense game moments she was known to walk away saying "My heart can't take this!" She loved Brett Favre and will be happy to find out he's going into the Hall and having his jersey retired next year.
    Most of all, Donna loved. She loved life and all that came with it. Her family, her friends, her jobs, her cars, the ups, the downs, the joys of being young and the satisfaction of a nice, comfortable and active retirement. While she didn't like the struggles she had in later years, she never let them stop her. She accepted new limits as they came, but refused to stop living because, she loved life.
    Donna was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister and many family members and friends that she held dear.
    She is survived, and her memory will live on with her son Gary and his girlfriend Maria Meyer whom she loved dearly; her nephews, grand-nephews, her two best friends and several family members and friends who she always felt blessed to have as part of her life. Especially her aunt Lois Verkuilen, whom she always admired and counted on for the latest family news.
    She was also a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church and loved her church and Pastor Judy Deckert deeply. She would feel honored to have Pastor Judy officiate her Memorial Service and interment.
    A celebration of Donna's life will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday August 28, 2014 at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 N. Mason Street in Appleton. Visitation and luncheon will be held at the Church from 4:00 pm until the service. Interment will be Friday August 29th at 9:00 am at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton, where she will be reunited with her parents and sister. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
    Donna's family and friends would like to thank the ICU Department staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where Donna was also born into this world, for all their help and working so hard for her and keeping them informed every step of the way.

    Ludvigsen, MartMartin J. (Marty) Ludvigsen, age 47, Green Bay, died on Friday, August 2 5, 2006, following a long illness. Marty was born on July 12, 1959, in Kau kauna. He graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1977 and from Fox Vall ey Technical School in 1994. He was a driver for Milwaukee Messenger Co.Marty is survived by his wife, Brenda; two sons: Jason Maresh, Green Ba y; Gary Jr. and Rebecca, North Carolina; four daughters: Melissa and Ky le Marxs, Appleton; Penny Maresh, Jennifer Maresh, and Hope Maresh, a ll of Green Bay; seven grandchildren: Cheyenne, L.J., Dalton, Little Mart y, Elizabeth, Morgan, and Allen; a brother, Rick and Lisa Ludvigsen; speci al friends: Mark and Laura Pownell, Jimmy Jerkowvoc, and special dog, Blaz e. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, and many friends.

    Jesse J. Lappen, 42, Grand Chute, died unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 27, 2006. He was born Oct. 28, 1963, to Paul and Beverly (Crha) Lappen, in LaCrosse and had been an Appleton resident most of his life. Jesse enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and trapping. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Tammy S. (Weylandt) Lappen, to whom he had been married for 18 years; two daughters, Tara Popp, Appleton; Elizabeth Popp, Appleton; a granddaughter, Melanie Popp; his mother, Beverly Babcock, West Plaines, Mo.; six siblings, Suzanne (Carl) Mohl, Appleton; John Lappen, Appleton; Joan (Brian) Diem, Appleton; Connie Piscitello, Little Chute; Caroline Lappen, Kaukauna; Lynn Holloway, Menasha; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral liturgy for Jesse will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 West Pine Street, with Father Dennis Ryan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m., until the time of the service.     John "Jack" Kempen, Tampa, Fla., 47, Business Manager at Florida College in Temple Terrace, Fla., died Sunday, Sept. 3, at a Tampa Hospital from a heart attack. He was a native of Kaukauna and moved to Jacksonville, Fla., in 1976, when he married Sue Thomas on June 12. In 1993, Jack and Sue moved to Tampa. Mr. Kempen was a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Fortieth Street Church of Christ, the Kiwanis Club and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

    Jeremy Vander Zanden, age 38, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Jeremy was born in Appleton on October 30, 1974, the son of Eugene and Jean (Barth) Vander Zanden. All of Jeremy's friends will remember him as a motorsports enthusiast who loved to race motorcycles and dirt track cars, and who was also an expert automotive mechanic. Jeremy also loved deer hunting in the fall.
    He is survived by his mother: Jean (Gary) Brandt of Wrightstown; his father: Eugene (Joan) Vander Zanden of Kaukauna; three brothers: Dave Lowney of Neenah and his girlfriend Aislinn; James (Rebecca) Vander Zanden of Madison; and Daniel (Kari Nabbefeldt) Vander Zanden of Milwaukee. Jeremy is also survived by five nieces: Allie, Abbie, Cece, Elliott, and Julianna; his maternal grandparents: Armin and Lois Barth of Appleton; as well as countless friends and members of the racing community. He was preceded by his paternal grandparents, Martin and Sally Vander Zanden.
    A funeral service for Jeremy will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, 3212 S. Oneida Street in Menasha. Rev. Daniel Thews of Faith Lutheran Church will officiate. A time of visitation for Jeremy will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
