  George Isaac Brooker, a resident of Portage and Wood Counties for 70 years and who enjoyed a large acquaintance in the territory, which includes Milladore and Junction City, died at his home in the latter village on Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock , aged 72 years. He had been in poor health for many months. Mr. Brooker was a native of Quebec, born in the Canadian city, Oct. 9, 1853, and was brought to Wisconsin at the age of two years. In 1889 he was united in marriage to Miss Moulton of Hopkinton, Iowa. There are six children in the family, Henry of Ashland, Rollin of Whitewater, Howard of Black Creek, Mrs. Hugh [Mary E.] Grover of Junction City, Mrs. E. H. [Nellie] Flentie of Stevens Point and Miss Pearl Brooker, at home. A brother, Thomas Brooker, lives at Suring, Oconto County, and a sister, Mrs. Caroline Whittier [Whithers] at Nekoosa. Burial will be at Junction City on Friday afternoon, following services at the Methodist Church at 1 o'clock. Stevens Point Journal, (Stevens Point, Wisconsin) January 29, 1925, Pg. 3.
