  Ryba, "Peanuts" (Velma) "Peanuts" Thelma C. Ryba, 87, Little Chute, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015. She was born on January 13, 1927 to the late John and Caroline (Blatz) Weber. She grew up on the family farm and on May 21, 1949 she married Orville Ryba at St. Joseph's Church in Appleton. He preceded her in death in July 1979. Peanuts enjoyed making caramels (only on sunny days) and Christmas candies. She also loved spending time with her family, especially the times that she was able to take her grandchildren up north and sit around the campfire. One of Peanut's passions was cooking and no one ever left her house wanting more. She will be remembered as that great waitress from Hietpas's/Verstegen's Restaurant for many years and a chef at Prime Steer. She finished her career at Simon's Cheese at age 73. Peanuts is survived by her seven children: Joe (Kathy) Ryba, Carolyn (Mike) Kastelic, Tom (Penny) Ryba, Mary Heller, Donna (Tubby) Reseburg, Becky Ryba (Gary Routmann) and Bruce (Rene') Ryba; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Her living siblings and in-laws are brother, Joe Weber; sister, Irene Liebhauser; brother-in-law, Harold Eichstadt; sisters-in-law, Rosie (George) Huss and Audrey Weber. She was preceded in death by eight siblings. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine Street, Little Chute) from 8:30am to the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am with Rev. Ron Belitz officiating.
