  Neubert, Darlene Mrs. Roger Darlene, 77, Appleton, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born Aug. 14, 1930, in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Fredrick and Louise (Paasch) Senkbeil. She graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1949. She married Roger Neubert on June 27, 1953, sharing 54 years together. Darlene and Roger lived in Sheboygan until 2005, when they moved to Appleton. Darlene was a pediatric nurse at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital for 11 years. For the next 22 years she was a teacher assistant for the Sheboygan School District. She was an active lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Sheboygan. She loved to garden, bake, sew, golf, walk and spoil her grandchildren and dogs. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Darlene is survived by her husband, Roger; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott Neubert and Nancy Hagen, Nashville, Tenn.; James and Julie Neubert, Darboy; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra Neubert and Larry Leak, Clarksville, Md.; four grandchildren, Lyndsey Hagen, Kristin and Laura Neubert, Emily Leak; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Phyllis Senkbeil, Sheboygan; a sister, Elaine Klokow, Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Senkbeil, Sheboygan; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Senkbeil; and four sisters, Margaret Hert, Grace Kaiser, Wilma Klujeske and Gertrude Holzhausen. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 601 S. Washington St., Combined Locks, Wis., with the Rev. William Schroeder and the Rev. Greg Whelton officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
